Tuesday, August 18th, 2009Initially family therapy didn’t seem helpful to me as I was 100% honest about everything with my parents, however there have been many sessions where I have found out suprising yet helpful things about how my anorexia has affected my family and about their view on things. Thursday, July 23rd, 2009For myself, this wasn’t helpful. As an adult, my parents could not wrap their minds around anything related to psychology. With my husband involved, he talked a good line, but never truly supported my recovery. But in many instances, I think that family therapy can be a very useful tool, if handled in a manner that is therapeutic.
